Purpose
A group of professional plein air landscape and scene painters who paint together once a month, and exhibit to raise funds and awareness for worthy causes. Members are indebted to the legacy of the Laguna Beach Art Association established in 1917 whose 150 members included such notables as Frank Cuprien, Joseph Kleitsch, Edgar Payne, William Wendt and Anna Hills.
Membership
150. Founded by Sam Caglayan, Cynthia Britain, John Cosby, Jacobus Baas and Ken Auster. Artist Members $35/year, Signature Members $75/year, Studio Membership $350/yr or $15 drop-in.
Activities
The Studio -  space is used for exhibits, and modeling sessions during the week which feature professional models and set-ups.  The Studio also offers a resource library and meeting place and is available for weekly rentals for artist exhibits or events.
Shows
In conjunction with the Laguna Art Museum, LAPAPA produces the Annual Plein Air Painting Festival in July. Cash prizes are awarded in a variety of categories. Annual Member Show and Juried Show.
