Contact Pat RyanPurpose A non-profit group of artists joined together to provide environmental education and showcasing the beauty of the region by painting and exhibiting art depicting the Santa Monica Mountains Recreation Area.Membership 100 painters and supporters. Dues: Individual $25, Family/Couple $40. Formed in 1990 from many existing art groups with the help of the Mountains Conservancy Foundation, California State Parks and the National Park Service.Activities Monthly paintouts. Participants meet other artists working in all media, informally critique each other’s work and learn about new places to paint. Special events and programs generate funds that the Allied Artists donate to conservation groups working in the Santa Monica Mountains.Shows Spring exhibit at Headwaters Corner, Calabasas; Summer group booth at the Malibu Arts Festival; Autumn exhibit at the Malibu Nature Preserve; Ongoing exhibit at Franklin Canyon Park; other exhibits/sales throughout the year.Publication or Newsletter Membership includes a magazine. |
