Description: The Saint Charles Riverfront Arts, now a 501c3, offers their 3rd Annual Plein Air Competition. As the oldest city on the Missouri River, Saint Charles is known for its rich heritage. This includes being the First State Capitol, the departure point for the Lewis & Clark Expedition, and home to restored historic buildings along Historic Main Street and in the Frenchtown District. Artists will have 10 days to complete their works of art, which must be created completely on site, outdoors within the designated boundaries surrounding the Historic Districts.

Saint Charles Riverfront Arts sponsors, as its primary event, an annual Spring ArtWalk, held on historic main street in the City of St. Charles, Missouri. The ArtWalk features regional artists who exhibit their fine art as well as local performing musicians and dancers. This festive event will be held the weekend of April 24, 25 and 26, 2009.
